MRS. ANNA CLARK,
FORMER RESIDENT,
DIES IN CALIF.

Mrs. Anna Marie Clark, 70, of Serena, Calif., a former Grinnell resident, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4th, at her home after a two-month illness.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 7th with Dr. O.F. Archer of the First Methodist church officiating. Interment was in Santa Barbara cemetery.

Mrs. Clark was born in Grinnell on Jan. 2nd, 1890, and lived here until moving to California with her husband in 1948. She married Aaron E. Clark in Grinnell on Sept. 290th, 1911.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron E.; and four children, Harlan W. of Grinnell, Mrs. Thelma Newman of Carpinteria, Calif., Richard of Santa Barbara, Calif., and James E. of Savannah, Ga.

A brother William Hink resides in Sheldon, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Freda Wright of Denver, Colo. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Judy and Trudy Newman of Carpinteria, Calif., Linda Clark of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Sharon Clark of Savannah, Ga.

Active in church circles, Mrs. Clark was a member of the First Methodist church in Santa Barbara.
