LAST RITES SAID
FOR EWART CLARK

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 22 at The Doyle L. Daniel Memorial Chapel in Walnut Grove, Mo., for Aaron Ewart Clark, 84, former Grinnell resident who died suddenly Tuesday, March 18 at Walnut Grove. Mr. Clark was a resident of Carpinteria, Calif. at the time of his death.

The Rev. Blanche Storer officiated at the services. Soloist was the Rev. B.D. Dwiggins. Burial was March 25 at the Santa Barbara cemetery at Santa Barbara, Calif.

The son of Worth and Sarah McFadden Clark, Mr. Clark was born at Sedgewick, Kan., on May 25, 1884. While a small child, he moved to the Ewart area south of Grinnell with his parents. He grew to manhood and received his education in the Ewart area and in December of 1908 moved to Grinnell. On Nov. 2, 1948, he moved to California.

On Sept. 29, 1911, Mr. Clark married Anna Marie Hink at her home. To this union were born four children--Harlan of Newton, James of Denver, Colo., Dick of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. Thelma Newman of Carpinteria, Calif.

Survivors include his four children; six granddaughters and two grandsons; three sisters--Mrs. Madge Bentz of Miami, Fla., and Ruth Clark and Mrs. D.M. (Iowa) Reynolds of Grinnell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Anna on Sept. 4, 1960; his parents and one sister and brother.

Active in church life, Mr. Clark was a member of the First Methodist Church of Santa Barbara, Calif.
