JESSE SAVILLE

Jesse Saville was born in Athens, Mo., March 31, 1859, and died at his home, 1122 Reed Street, at 1 A.M., Dec. 16, 1920, at the age of 61 years, after a lingering illness of four years of pernicious anemia.

When two years of age his parents moved from Missouri to Illinois and later to Henry county, Iowa.

When a young man he came to Grinnell and has lived in and around here the remainder of his life.

On November 23, 1887, he married Mrs. Jane Kennell. To this union three children were born, two sons and a daughter. The two boys, Alfred Owen and Arthur Delbert, passed away in their infancy.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, a step-daughter, Mrs. W.R. Mullins and a daughter, Mrs. James A. Cunningham, two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Mattingly of Grinnell and Mrs. Hattie Thorne of Marshalltown, three brothers, N.E. Saville of Tekama, Nebraska, Harvey Saville of Grinnell and Dow Saville of Montour, and four granddaughters.
