GUY LEE DIES;
SERVICES TODAY

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Monday, July 28) at the Smith Funeral Home for Guy Thomas Lee, 79, of Malcom, who died Friday morning at Grinnell General Hospital following a brief hospitalization.

The Rev. John F. Maze officiated at the services.

Organist was Miss Linda Schneekloth. Pallbearers were Clarence Hamor, Paul Hamor, Lyman McDowell, Raymond Schilder, Sonny Schneekloth and Jack Wakeley.

Burial was made in Ivy Hill Cemetery at Malcom.

The son of Albert and Sarah Moore Lee, Mr. Lee was born Feb. 2, 1896 near Dean. He attended the rural schools near his home.

In 1927, Mr. Lee moved to Malcom and worked on farms in the Sheridan and Malcom neighborhoods. For eight years he was the grounds keeper at Ivy Hill Cemetery. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Tama.

Survivors include two half sisters--Mrs. Jesse (Daisy) Nicholson and Mrs. Earl (Jessie) Emmert of Malcom; a half brother, Pearly Smith of Malcom; six nephews and two nieces.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and a brother--Mary Lee, Mrs. Leona Garr and William Lee.
