DAISY M. NICHOLSON

Daisy M. Nicholson, 86, of Grinnell died Monday, Feb. 10, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom, with the Rev. Roger Pettijohn officiating.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Moore Smith and was born Aug. 16, 1905, in Dean, Iowa. She attended rural school.

She was married to Jesse Nicholson Dec. 5, 1938, in Grinnell. The couple lived in rural Malcom. Following her husband's death in 1968, she became a resident of Grinnell.

Mrs. Nicholson had worked for the food service department at the former St. Francis Hospital.

She is survived by one sister, Jessie Emmert of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a half-brother, Guy Lee; and one brother, Pearley Smith.

Memorials in her name may be made to Grinnell General Hospital and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.
