Jan. 10, 1980EFFA MCFADDEN RITES HELD
Effa McFadden, 91, of 802 Park St., Grinnell, died Monday morning, Jan. 7, at the Mayflower Home Health Care Center.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Pleasant Township Cemetery at Ewart, with the Rev. James P. Russell, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call the Smith Funeral Home for additional information.
The daughter of Albert and Lucinda M. Clark McFadden, she was born on Oct. 10, 1888, near Ewart. She lived with her parents on a Kansas sheep farm before returning to Iowa, where she was employed by General Telephone Co. for 32 years.
There are no immediate survivors.
