DIES AT 71

Ruth Amy Ilene Wright, 71, died Feb. 27 at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa.

Services were held Monday at the Steffy Funeral Home, Montezuma.

The daughter of Ellen and E.W.T. Peterson, she was born Jan. 4, 1905, at Lohrville, Iowa. In her early childhood, she moved with her parents to a farm northeast of Montezuma. She attended Scott No. 9 rural school and later attended Montezuma High School.

She was married to Lauren Wright on Nov. 1, 1930. The couple had three children.

Mr. and Mrs. Wright lived on their farm southeast of Montezuma. Mrs. Wright was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived y her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Harriet) Cummings of Oskaloosa; two sons, Joseph of Ogden, Utah, and Steven of Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Leonard Peterson of Rockwell City and Emerald Peterson of Evans, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Verna Seaborg of Manson and Mrs. Evelyn Blain Wilmer of Marion.
