Significant Life of
Noble Woman Ends

Word was received Tuesday of the death in New York state that morning of Esther Robbins White, widow of Dr. George E. White.

They went to the Near East in 1885 and returned to this country in 1938. For a time they made their home together in Grinnell, later going to California, where Dr. White died in Pomona on April 27, 1946. After his death she spent some time with her daughter Margaret in Omaha before going east.

She is survived by her four children, Margaret, George D. White of Athens, Greece, Mrs. Esther Parr of Syracuse, N.Y., and Mrs. Katherine Burling of Trumansburg, N.Y.

Her body will be brought back to Grinnell to rest beside her husband. Friends may call the Smith funeral home for information regarding funeral plans.
