EMMA SHARP

Emma Sharp, 76, of Rte. 1, Kellogg, died of a heart attack Friday, Oct. 20, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lyle W. Johnston, pastor of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Alice Renaud, and vocalists were Delmar and Norma Sharp.

Pallbearers were Bruce Benson, Dan Benson, Clinton Gifford Jr., Curt Gifford, Kevin Gifford and Floyd Hunter. Burial was in Our Silent City Cemetery, Kellogg.

Memorials in Mrs. Sharp's name may be made to the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

The daughter of George and Minnie Cewe Dilts, she was born March 3, 1913, at Farmington, Ill. The family lived near Grinnell where she attended rural school.

She was married to Oakley Sharp, Oct. 4, 1939, at Montezuma. The couple farmed southeast of Kellogg for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Mae Johnson.
