CATHY ENGLAND RITES FRIDAY

Mrs. Cathy England, 47, of Rte. 4, Grinnell, died suddenly late Tuesday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marcus E. Reitz officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Muscatine Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The daughter of William Esker and Ida May Cater Jenkins, she was born June 4, 1929, at Jonesboro, Ga. On May 17, 1952, she was married to Fredric L. England at Atlanta, Ga. She lived with her husband at several locations while he was in the service, and following his discharge the couple lived at Cedar Rapids for a year. They lived at Muscatine from 1955 to 1967 and at Clinton from 1967 to 1969. They lived in Grinnell since that time.

Mrs. England was associated with her husband at the Sears Merchant Store at 926 Main St. here.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. John's here.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Mark John England, a senior at the University of Iowa, Carol Ann, a senior at Grinnell High School, Mitzi Kay, also a senior at Grinnell High School, and Barbara Jane, a junior at Grinnell High School; and two sisters, Anna May Jenkins and Mrs. Georgia Yeats, both of East Point, Ga.
