Funeral services for Mrs. William Lippincott were held Wednesday morning at the A. Bramer home with the Rev. J.N. Koning in charge. Burial was at Cedar Bluff cemetery.

Mrs. Lippincott died Sunday evening, March 3 at the age of 84 years and 15 days. She had lived in this community for many years. She is survived by four sons, Ray and Jim of Brooklyn and Homer and Bob of Grinnell. She is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Byers of Brooklyn, Mrs. Grace Caughey of Grinnell, and Mrs. Lena Zesiger of Moscow. There are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Nancy Ellen Lippincott, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Monk, was born in McDonald (McDonough) County, Ill., Feb. 17, 1856, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Byers, March 3, 1940, at the age of 84 years and 15 days.

At Indianola, Ia., on June 23, 1877, she was married to William Lippincott. They moved to Cedar County, Ia., and later to Brooklyn, where their life of almost 61 years together was broken by the husband's death May 11, *1937.

Almost 41 years ago at Cedar Bluff, Ia., she joined the Christian church and during the years that elapsed her faith was unfaltering.

A daughter, Mrs. Dora Strong and a son, Arthur Bert, have preceded her in death. Surviving are 4 sons and three daughters.
