MRS. MARY GILL
PASSED AWAY MONDAY,
AGED 83 YEARSMrs. Mary Matilda Gill, widow of Daniel B. Gill, died at her home at 609 Second avenue Monday afternoon, aged 83 years, one month and eight days. She had been ill for several years.
Mrs. Gill was born in Scott county, the daughter of Simon and Henrietta Hoover Noel. She was married in 1889 in St. Lawrence, Pa. Mr. Gill preceded her in death in 1943.
She is survived by eight children, Bessie Gill of Grinnell, Mabelle Husted of Chicago, Gertrude Jaeger of New Sharon, Tony of Gilman, Velma of Goshen, Ind., Margaret Lang of Titonka, Clayton of White Sulphur Springs, West Va., and Bernard of Goshen, Ind.
There are also six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Trimble of Tyrone, Pa., Mrs. Bertha Marvin and George Noel, both of Pequot Lake, Minn., Mrs. Gertrude Hebert of St. Paul, Minn., R.F. Noel of Minneapolis and Clair Noel of Malcom, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this morning in St. Mary's church in charge of Rev. V.A. Walsh. Rosary was held at the Smith funeral home Wednesday evening. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Pall bearers were Francis Comerford, Leo Flanagan, Joe Hotchkin, Ed McNally, Les Mehlin and Bill Ritter.
