Helen Lucille Gill, 83, of Goshen, Ind., formerly of Grinnell, died Tuesday, March 28, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Goshen, with burial in Violett Cemetery there.
She was the daughter of John W. and Minnie Knapp and was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Minneapolis, Minn. She lived in Grinnell before moving to Goshen 57 years ago where she worked for Penn Controls as an inspector for 33 years.
She was married to George Gill in 1934 in Minneapolis. He died in 1943. In 1960 she was married to C. Ray Crope, who died in October of that year.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Goshen Moose Lodge.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Brinklow of Milan, Mich.; one son, Denny Gill of Elkhart; one stepdaughter, Peggy Conn of Goshen; two stepsons, Dallas Cripe of Goshen and Richard Cripe of California; eight step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Knapp, Gladys Roy and Lavina Haight; and two brothers, David and Howard Knapp.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Goshen and Hillcrest United Methodist Church of Elkhart.
