MRS. LENA REICHE

Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Reiche, 87, of Brooklyn, were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home. Mrs. Reiche, a resident of the Brookhaven Nursing Home, died there Sunday morning, June 3, 1979.

Rev. Fred Pierce, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. The organist was Mrs. Ed Bartachek. Casket bearers were Marvin Himschoot, Woodrow Boyd, Lyle Ramsey, Max Ryan, Lowell Ryan and Lyle Ryan. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery.

Lena Marie Butts Reiche, daughter of William Butts and Cora Renner Butts, was born in Brooklyn on Dec. 9, 1891. She received her education in the Brooklyn school. She was united in marriage to Carl H. Reiche on Dec. 10, 1918 in Brooklyn.

A life-long resident of the Brooklyn community, she was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a 60-year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Reiche was preceded by her parents, husband and two brothers. Surviving are cousins including Wallace Ryan of Hartwick; Mrs. Marie Cunningham of Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. Lucille Ramsey of Adel, and Jean Blahnik,, Raymond Baird, and "Sep" Baird, all of Cedar Rapids.
