HAZEL A. DEXTER

Hazel A. Dexter, 88, of Grinnell died Saturday, Jan. 20, at St. Francis Manor.

Services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Smith Funeral Home, with burial in Chester Cemetery.

The daughter of Walter G. and Ollie A. Turney Squire, she was born Feb. 3, 1911, near Grinnell. She attended Grinnell schools, graduating from Grinnell High School in 1929.

She was married to Glenn Dexter, Jan. 20, 1934, in Newton.

Mrs. Dexter was a 50-year member of the Grange and a past member of the Blue Point Friendship Club.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; two daughters, Carol Herington of Bettendorf and Janet Ryan of Brooklyn; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold and Donald Squire of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mabel Sherrod.
