RITES FOR MRS. HUTCHINSON HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Ray (Madge) Hutchinson were conducted by the Rev. Lester Hall at the Steffy Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, November 29. Music was provided by Mrs. Vincent Johnson accompanied by Miss Alice Underwood.

Casket bearers were Roy Baird, Fred Cochran, Raymond LaKose, Ray Agnew, Kenneth Haynes and William Fitzsimmons. Interment was at Jackson Township Cemetery.

Mrs. Hutchinson, 81, passed away Thursday evening, November 27. She had been hospitalized for four months.

The second daughter of John and Lucy Gorsuch, Madge Edith was born on a farm near Malcom on June 17, 1888. She was educated in rural schools and graduated from Montezuma High School with the class of 1908.

On May 4, 1910, she was united in marriage with Ray Hutchinson and to this union two children were born.

Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the Methodist Church and the Pythian Sisters Lodge for many years.

She is survived by her husband and their two children, Stanley of Montezuma and Mrs. J.B. (Louise) Snyder of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Mrs. Lana Cheney of Winchester, Ill., Joe Hutchinson of Montezuma, Mrs. Sherry Shafer of Aurora, Ill., and John Snyder of Des Moines; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Nell McKee of Montezuma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Louis and Guy Gorsuch.
