OBITUARY

MRS. W.H. PETERS

Jane Caroline Eberhard was born in Germany, February 22, 1849, and died at her home near Malcom, Iowa, September 22, 1901.

She was married to Wm. H. Peters February 21, 1866, near Frankfort, Ill. To this union have been born thirteen children, of whom eight are still living and able to be present at their mother's funeral. They with the husband mourn the departure of a kind an devoted mother and wife.

Mrs. Peeters was for the past eight years a great and constant sufferer, being afflicted with rheumatism. For the past five years she was confined to her chair, but while deprived of many privileges and suffering untold physical discomforts, she bore all without a murmur. Her daily prayer was for her summons to the home beyond for which she had made preparation, having been a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church from her childhood. But she waited patiently for the end when the Lord should call her home. She was conscious until the last moment when she exchanged the cross for the crown.

The husband and children wish to express their gratitude to their friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness during the sickness and death of their loved wife and mother.
