ALICE J. BOSOLD

Alice J. Bosold, 91, of Grinnell died Thursday, July 11, at St. Francis Manor.

A memorial service was held Tuesday in the St. Francis Social Center, and a committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz.

The daughter of Ardon Bebe and Algie Allen Comly, she was born Feb. 11, 1911, in Casey. She was raised in Casey and was a graduate of Casey High School. She later received her teaching certificate at Simpson College in Indianola.

She was married to Claire I. Bosold June 7, 1937, in Casey. Mrs. Bosold taught for several years in the Casey School District and was also active in the community.

They moved to Mesa in 1962, and she was employed as a preschool teacher at Judson School, Paradise Valley. She moved to Seeland Park here in 1999 and had been a resident of St. Francis Manor since December 2001. She attended the Methodist Church while in Casey and Grinnell and the Presbyterian Church in Mesa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Aleta Limbaugh; and one brother, Thaddeus Comly.

A niece, Leila Maring, resides in Grinnell.
