WM. F. OTCHECK
SINCERELY MOURNED

William Frederick Otcheck, was born October 9th, 1864, in Mahaska County, near Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was married to Miss Anna B. Schnell December 15th, 1891. They made their home in Grinnell until five years ago, when they moved to a farm near Altoona, Iowa.

He was a member of the Methodist Church at Grinnell. He was also a member of the Modern Woodman Lodge.

Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Gus of Grinnell, Verne M. of Altoona, Mrs. Katherine Hecker of Des Moines, and Miss Cecile, who is a home, and one grandson. Two children died in infancy. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Cora Selle and one brother, James, both of Grinnell.

He passed away at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, on the evening of June 6th, 1926, as the result of an attack of the flu and general weakness.

Funeral services were held at his residence, at Altoona, being conducted by the Rev. Lucius L. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Altoona, Iowa, and interment was made at the Bethel Cemetery, southwest of Grinnell.

Mr. Otcheck has been recognized around Grinnell as one of our most progressive farmers and the prizes he brought home for a long period of years from the state fair exhibits were almost innumerable. He as a good citizen and a valuable member of the community.
