AMY BLASCHKE RITES HELD SUNDAY AT STEFFY FUNERAL HOME

Funeral services for Mrs. Amy Blaschke were conducted by the Rev. Howard Hayes at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 8, at the Steffy Funeral Home. Miss Alice Underwood was the organist.

Casket bearers were C.R. Ayres, Melvin Walker, Harold Lofgreen, Don Crider, Eldon Hedrick and Marvin VanGorp.

Interment was at Jackson Township Cemetery.

Mrs. Blaschke, 86, died Friday, December 6, at the Freeport Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Ill.

The daughter of Robert Alexander Saunders and Ida Emily Draper Saunders, Amy Anna Blaschke was born August 21, 1882, in Union Township, Poweshiek County, Iowa.

On Dec. 18, 1901, she was united in marriage to Harvy Hugh Cox. To this union were born two daughters, Grace Sharpe of Palatine, Ill., and Alice Moren of Freeport, Ill. Amy and Harvey Cox were divorced Jan. 13, 1911.

On Nov. 8, 1923, she was married to Joseph Wilbur Carroll in Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1946.

On Nov. 14, 1953, she and Frank Blaschke were married in Thermopolis, Wyo. He passed away April 2, 1959.

Since that time she has made her home with her two daughters and sons-in-law, Larry Sharpe and Robert W. Moren.

Mrs. Blaschke was a member of the Forest Home Christian Church, the Wisner Circle of the G.A.R. and the Vashti Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her two daughters, Grace Sharpe and Alice Moren; three grandsons, Roger Lee Sharpe of Arlington Heights, Ill., Robert Alan Moren of Mount Prospect, Ill., and William Arthur Moren of Clarendon Hills, Ill.; two great-grandsons, John Edward Sharpe and Michael Scott Moren; and three great-granddaughters, Amy Eileen Moren, Andrea Lynn Moren and Amanda Elizabeth Moren.
