EDNA MAE BEAL

Edna Mae Beal, 77, of Oskaloosa died Sunday, July 30, at Mahaska County Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Harold Scuddie officiating. Burial was in Forest Cemetery, with the Powers Funeral Home of Oskaloosa in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church in Oskaloosa.

She was born Aug. 29, 1911, in Mahaska County and was the daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Katherine Van Dusseldorp Price. She was married to Wilbur J. Beal, who died in 1967. Mrs. Beal was a seamstsress and machine operator at the Big Smith Overall Factory in Oskaloosa.

Surviving are three sons, Charles of Phoenix, Ariz., Jerry of Grinnell and James of West Des Moines; one daughter, Mildred Wanders of Oskaloosa; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Price of Bettendorf and Raymond Price of Washington State; and five sisters, Mary Clark of Waukee, Addie Smith of Knoxville, Cordelia Paterson of Prairie City, Irene Wanders of Newton and Clara Malin of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, two grandsons, two brothers and one sister.
