Inez Eriksen, 85, of Grinnell died Thursday, Aug. 22, at Friendship Manor.
A graveside service was held Monday morning at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Len Eberhart, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. The Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 19, 1916, in Lacey to Charles and Mary Sullivan Parkhurst. She attended school in New Sharon.
On Jan. 28, 1948, she was married to Paul H. Eriksen in Muscatine. They farmed near Malcom, Gladbrook and Tama before moving to Grinnell in 1977.
Mrs. Eriksen was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, the Eagles Auxiliary, the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries and the El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary.
Surviving are one grandson, three great-grandsons and one sister, Mary Grosenbach of Grinnell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Dennis D. Rozenberg; two brothers, Arthur and Willard Parkhurst; and one sister, Margaret Parkhurst.
