Tuesday noon marked the close of another long and useful life, when Mrs. John A. Lang passed away at her home. She had been in extremely poor health for the past year, and although she knew she could never recover from the malady that troubled her, she assumed a cheerful attitude that helped make her death easier for the remaining members of the family.

She was the mother of nine children, one of whom preceded her in death and her home life was a happy one. All of her children were with her at the time of her passing with the exception of Mrs. Clayton Burnside. Mrs. Burnside was summoned home several weeks ago when little hope was given for her mother’s life, but Mrs. Lang rallied considerably, and her daughter returned to her family in Los Angeles, California.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Church at 2:30 o’clock. The body was taken to Grinnell where it was tenderly laid to rest beside one son, Harold, who died a number of years ago when the Lang family resided in Grinnell.
