Alice A. Tyler, 100, of Grinnell died Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Francis Manor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Epperson of the Grinnell Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials in Mrs. Tyler's name may be made to St. Francis Manor.
The daughter of John and Annie Schindler Nagel, she was born Aug. 30, 1890, in Park Fork, Idaho, where she attended school. She was married to George H. Tyler in May 1910 at Clark Fork, Idaho.
The couple were in the restaurant business in San Gabriel, Calif., then moved to Spokane, Wash., where she lived until 1980 when she moved to Grinnell.
Surviving are one daughter, Helen Johnson of Grinnell; three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter and one sister.
