MRS. GEES, 55,
DIES; SERVICES
AT GRINNELL

Mrs. Frank (Ila) Gees of Hillsboro, Ill., formerly of the Grinnell area, died Friday, April 8, following an illness of several weeks. She was 55 years old.

Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's Catholic church at Grinnell at 9 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. V.A. Walsh officiating. Burial will be at Sheridan cemetery.

Rosary services will be held tonight, Monday, at 7:30.

Native of Akron, Ia., where she was born July 5, 1899, the daughter of Daniel E. Anthony and Minnie J. Knauber Anthony, she had resided at Hillsboro the last 14 years.

Married to Frank Gees, who survives, she was employed as a bank teller. Mrs. Gees was a member of St. Agnes church in Hillsboro.

At the final rites, pallbearers will be David Anthony, Charles Anthony, Ray Anthony, Edgar Cloyd, Wallace Cloyd and Merle Dimit.

Smith Funeral Home of Grinnell is in charge of arrangements.

LAST RITES FOR
MRS. GEES ARE
HELD TUESDAY

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from St. Mary's Catholic church at Grinnell for Mrs. Ila L. Gees of Hillsboro, Ill.

The Rev. V.A. Walsh officiated at the final rites. Rosary services were held Monday evening.

Pallbearers were David Anthony, Charles Anthony, Ray Anthony, Edgar Cloyd, Wallace Cloyd and Merle Dimit. Burial was in Sheridan cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Gees died last Friday at Hillsboro where she had lived for the past 14 years. She had been ill several weeks.

Surviving is her husband, Frank.
