Chas. W. Kann was born in Brooklyn, Iowa, Oct. 9, 1868, and departed this life on Jan. 14, 1921. On February 4th, 1892 he was married to Lois May Wheeler. To this union was born two sons: Bert Lee and Raymond D., and one daughter, Dora, who preceded him in death in 1903. On March 3, 1910, death again entered the home and removed the wife and mother.

On October 8, 1913, he was married to Sadie M. Krouskop, who with the two sons, two grandchildren, an aged mother, two brothers and one half brother and many friends are left to mourn his departure. Ten years ago he made a profession of faith and joined the Christian church of which he remained a member until his death. He was always very industrious, always finding something to do, working beyond his strength. His health began failing several years ago and the second week in November he became quite ill and on Jan. 6th, suffered a relapse and gradually grew weaker until death released him from his suffering.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Rev. Holler officiating, assisted by Rev. Pool.
