His wife preceded him in death 12 years ago. He is survived by the six children, their husbands and wives, 24 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many other relatives.
He had been in poor health for several years. On Sunday, January 2 he did not feel very well but went to his daughter’s home at Brooklyn for dinner. Later that evening he seemed better but sometime early Monday morning he passed away in his sleep at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Story in Malcom.
Funeral services were held at the Bramer funeral home in Brooklyn, Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 1949, at 2 o’clock in charge of the Rev. E. W. F. Holler with Miss Thursia Manatt at the organ.
