Elmer Thomas, the seventh child of Mary Jane and Joseph Morrison, was born in Scott township, July 25, 1883, and departed this life at his home near Deep River Sunday morning, Nov. 7, 1926, age 43 years, 3 months and 14 days. He grew to manhood in Scott township on his father’s farm.

His father and mother and two brothers, Sam and John, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his loss, Mrs. Jesse Johnston of Brooklyn, Mrs. William Connell of Deep River, Mrs. James Johnston, Rugby, S. Dak. ---------- rest is missing.

Source: Unknown newspaper clipping found in scrapbook belonging to my great grandmother. Burial was at Montezuma.
