Lillie Lytle was born in County Armagh, Ireland, July 14, 1880, and passed to her reward April 30, 1925, at the Community Hospital in Grinnell at the age of nearly 45 years.

She came to America twenty-nine years ago, and lived in Chicago for several years. About sixteen years ago she came to Brooklyn, where she lived until her death.

She was married to William McCulla on September 8, 1909, to whom she was a helpmate in the truest sense of the word. Her home was a place of sunshine and happiness. She was always thoughtful of others, and performed many acts of kindness, especially for those in need.

Mrs. McCulla was a member of the Episcopal Church in Ireland. Later she moved her membership to the Grace Methodist Church at Brooklyn.

She took sick with influenza about a month ago. The suffering in her head was almost unbearable, and death came as a sweet relief on Thursday morning.

Besides her husband and little Muriel, she leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Mrs. Matthew Paul and Mrs. Nels Johnson, of Brooklyn, and one brother, Thomas Lytle of Chicago.

Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with Rev. W. J. Fowler in charge of the services. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hugh McIllrath, Tom Simpson, Walter Uhl, Al Reams, Leslie Wylie, and Ray Wylie.
