JEANETTE E. RUTLEDGE HOSKINS

Jeanette E. Rutledge Hoskins of York, Neb, died unexpectedly Aug. 31, 2011.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 3, in York and burial was in the cemetery there. Memorials may be directed to the York Elementary School Backpack Program.

She was born in Sharpsburg, Iowa, Dec. 22, 1938 to Ralph and Lela Kaisand Rutledge. She married Leonard Hoskins Aug. 7, 1960, and they were long-time residents of Nebraska City. She taught at York Middle School until her retirement. She was a long-time member of PEO, Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Jaycees, and was also active at the York Senior Center and First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband Len; her four children Jodi Larkin of Benedict, Randy Hoskins of Lincoln, Susan Beauchamp of York and Deb Stueblik of Lexington; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Kaisand, formerly of Grinnell.
