GLADYS M. ENICH
RITES THURSDAY

Gladys M. Enich, 58, of Rte. 4, Grinnell, wife of Poweshiek County Attorney Michael Enich, died Monday evening, Dec. 21 at her home.

The daughter of Thomas J. and Nellie Ann Schultz Bradley, she was born on Nov. 6, 1912, near Grinnell. She attended the Grinnell public schools and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1927. She also attended Grinnell College for two years.

On Nov. 29, 1942, she was married to Michael Enich at Yuma Ariz. Following her husband's discharge from the service, the couple lived in Iowa City, where he completed his education in law. The Enichs also lived in Des Moines for 10 years and in Kansas City for 2-1/2 years, returning to Grinnell in 1962.

Mrs. Enich was employed as a secretary for several years with the Iowa A.S.C. office and other government agencies. She was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Michael; two brothers, Thomas G. and Harold Bradley, both of Grinnell; a sister, Mrs. George (Edith) Bowman of Schaumburg, Ill.; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother on Nov. 7, 1957, and her father on Feb. 17, 1955.

Funeral services for Mrs. Enich will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. J. Eugene Young officiating. Interment will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Organist will be Mrs. Kathleen Heffner, and pallbearers will include Donald Vogt, Kenneth Vogt, Gerald Carpenter, Robert Hamilton, David Hamilton and Lawrence Pedersen.

Friends may call at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, and thereafter at the United Methodist Church.
