RITES HELD FOR
MRS. BOWMAN

Mrs. Edith Bowman, 57, died Thursday, Feb. 14, in a hospital in Farmington Hills, Mich.

The daughter of Thomas J. and Nellie Schultz Bradley, she was born Nov. 20, 1916, in Grinnell. She received her education in the Grinnell schools, and was a graduate of Grinnell High School and the American Institute of Business in Des Moines.

She was married to George Bowman Aug. 16, 1946, in Des Moines, and for a number of years they lived in Marshalltown. They had lived in Farmington Hills since 1966.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Kathy) Austin of Yellow Springs, Ohio; and two brothers, Thomas and Harold Bradley, both of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gladys M. Enich.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bowman were held at 11 a.m. today (Monday) at the family grave site in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. John W. McCallum, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the James-Schalinske Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
