AFTER BRIEF ILLLNESS

Elizabeth Boal Thompson Crosman, age 84, of Grinnell, died at a local hospital Wednesday evening, following an illness of the past two weeks.

She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Boal Thompson, born March 3, 1876, at Lemont, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Penn State University with the class of 1893, and was the only woman graduate in her class. Following graduation, she worked in her father's office. He was treasurer of Penn State University.

In 1911, she was united in marriage with Louis H. Crosman and to this union were born two children: Mrs. C. Edwin (Elizabeth) Gilmour, of Grinnell; and Mrs. Emerald (Ellen) Dalton of Chicago, Illinois. She also leaves 3 grandchildren - Tory, Betsy, Keith Gilmour of Grinnell.

Mrs. Crosman was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1948, and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She made her home in Oaks, Pennsylvania most of her life, and came to Grinnell in 1956 to be near her daughter. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church in Grinnell.

Following cremation services for Mrs. Crosman will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal church, with the Rev. Robert L. Gilliam, Vicar, officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Mrs. L.H. Crosman Memorial Fund of St. Paul's Episcopal church.
