He is survived by his sister Dorothy, his brother Floyd of Barnes City, two nieces, Lois Norris of Deep River and Joyce Lemke of Malcom, a nephew, Loren Rupprecht of Oskaloosa, and 14 great nieces and nephews. Two aunts, Mrs. Ada Bower of New Sharon and Mrs. Bessie Morgon of Guthrie, Minn. and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Millie Broyles Rupprecht.

He was an active member of the Barnes City Methodist Church, a trustee of the Church and member of the Offical Board.
