MRS. RUPPRECHT WAS
DEVOTED CHRISTIAN

Funeral services for Mrs. George Rupprecht were held May 1 at the Barnes City Christian church of which she was a devoted member, conducted by the Rev. Don Job, Oskaloosa. Musical selections by Mrs. Job and Mrs. Ed Kerwin were "In The Garden" and "Lily of The Valley."

Interment was in the Barnes City cemetery. Flower attendants were Mmes. Harry Deucore, Wayne Pitman and Bernice Williams. Casket bearers were Harold Lester, Bill Jones, Norman Mason, Lewis McKee, Lewis Jones and Carl Speas.

Millie Mae Broyles, daughter of Charley W. and Lucy Grife Broyles, was born Sept. 24, 1901, in Pleasant Grove township, Mahaska county. She died Apr. 28 at Mahaska county hospital, Oskaloosa, at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage with George Rupprecht Feb. 12, 1929, and to this union two children were born. For several years they lived in the Forest Home community, then east of Barnes City, but the last 20 years on their farm west of Barnes City.

Besides her husband of the home, she is survived by a son, Loren Rupprecht, Oskaloosa; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Norris, Grinnell; four grandchildren, Louis and Gary Rupprecht and Rebecca and Jeffrey Norris; a sister, Miss Dorothy Broyles; two brothers, Floyd and Ross Broyles, all of Barnes City, and other relatives and friends.
