A.J. DAVIDSON, PIONEER
OF THE COUNTY, STRICKEN
SUDDENLY BY DEATH
-----------------------------------------
Brooklyn Chronicle: As A.J. Davidson was returning Tuesday noon from a drive down town to get his daughter Lilla, who stays at Dr. Jas. E. Gray's office, he became suddenly sick and handed the reins to his daughter, saying that he could not see. Scarcely had Miss Davidson taken the reins when her father fell back dead.

E.E. Jones and E.C. Odell chanced to be passing along and, running to Miss Davidson's assistance, carried her father into the Ed Grieve house. Physicians were hastily summoned, but death had undoubtedly occurred before he was taken from the buggy.

No post mortem was held, but the general opinion is that death was caused by heart failure. His brother, Albert, had died under the same circumstances about three years ago.

Mr. Davidson was one of the most highly respected men in this part of the state. He grew to manhood in this vicinity, and held the confidence and esteem of everybody who knew him.
