MRS. CONOVER RITES TUESDAY

Cora Lee Conover, 78, of the Senior Nursing Home in Montezuma, formerly of Washington, D.C., died Saturday in Montezuma.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert D. Gamble of St. Paul's Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Benjamin and Marion Robey Hicks, she was born Feb. 27, 1897, in White Plains, Md. She attended schools in Washington, D.C.

On March 15, 1916, she was married to Alexander Nicholson in Washington. Following Mr. Nicholson's death in 1954, she was married to Edgar Conover on Nov. 10, 1967, in Washington. She lived in Washington most of her life and was employed by the U.S. Civil Service Commission.

Mrs. Conover is survived by two brothers, Morgan Hicks of Malcom and George Hicks of Hughesville, Md., and a step-granddaughter, Shirley Conover of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Thomas and Benjamin.
