MRS. KEISER
DIES THURSDAY
AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. Victor (Armilda Frances) Keiser, resident of Grinnell since 1951, died late Thursday at a local hospital following an illness of a few days. She was 59 years old.

Mrs. Keiser entered the hospital earlier Thursday. Autopsy disclosed that she had suffered a brain tumor.

Private prayer services were held Friday at Smith Funeral Home with Dr. Judson Fiebiger officiating. Memorial rites were conducted Sunday at the Congregational church with Dr. Fiebiger, Rev. Leland Mann, Mrs. Kendall Frazier of Des Moines, and Prof. Paul Kuntz participating. The body was cremated.

Native of Chicago, Mrs. Keiser was the daughter of Harry and Laura LeMaster Brome, both deceased. Born Feb. 8, 1896, she was married at Lincoln, Nebr., Feb. 22, 1913, to Rev. Victor H. Keiser.

They came to Grinnell in 1951 from Corning, New York. Mrs. Keiser was a member of the Congregational church.

Surviving are her husband of Grinnell; three sons, David G., of Racine, Wis., Robert Lincoln of Grinnell and Victor H., Jr., of Germany. Her son, Victor, arrived Sunday after coming by plane from Europe.

Mrs. Keiser was a noted author and lecturer of Christian living. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln, and received her Master degree from Columbia University. Among her best noted works are "Here's How and When" which has sold ten to twelve thousand copies yearly since published in 1952; "Come Everyone and Worship" translated in three languages; and "Let's Look it Up" a family Bible picture dictionary published this month.

She had also written many articles and pamphlets, organized and directed nursery schools, and was an advisor to the children's work committee of the Congregational Conference and also served on its book committee.

She was an active member of the League of Women Voters of Grinnell.
