DIED.

MRS. MARIE HUNT

A sorrowful journey was ended on Sunday morning when Fred and John Deedrick of Sheridan and John Jentzen, of Grinnell, returned from Minneapolis, bringing with them the body of Mrs. Marie Hunt, formerly Marie Deedrick, a sister of the two Deedrick boys and a sister-in-law of Mr. Jentzen.

The men were called to Minneapolis by the receipt of a letter from J.F. Hunt, the husband, informing them that Mrs. Hunt was dead. When they reached Minneapolis they failed to locate Mr. Hunt but found that Mrs. Hunt had died on January 15 in a hospital of peritonitis, following an operation for appendicitis. After much trouble they found the grave, exhumed the body and returned with it to Grinnell. The body was taken at once to Sheridan where interment was made.

The relatives in and around Grinnell know little of the last few months of Mrs. Hunt's life but they understand that she was married to Hunt only about six weeks before her death. A year or so ago she was keeping a rooming house a Williston, N.D. Later she gave this up, visited for a time at various points and then her relatives heard of her marriage. No other word came until they were notified of her death.

Mrs. Hunt was 39 years of age. She leaves a large number of relatives including Joseph, John, Fred and Charles Deedrick, brothers, all of Sheridan, and seven sisters, Mrs. Harry James and Mrs. John Jentzen, of Grinnell, Mrs. J.M. Lynch, of Waterloo, Miss Anna Deedrick, of Sylvis, Ill., Miss Mabel Deedrick, of Sioux City, Mrs. W.F. Stanford, of Montezuma, and Mrs. Cashman, of Cedar Rapids.
