VIOLA MCGEE SERVICES HELD

Viola "Molly" McGee, 79, of 1533 Third Ave., Grinnell, died early Sunday morning at Grinnell General Hospital. She had been in failing health and had lived at Friendship Manor the past few weeks.

Funeral services for Mrs. McGee were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. John C. Epperson, pastor of the Grinnell Christian Church, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers were Harold Haines, Dennis Grovenburg, Kenneth Norris, Dean J. Revell, Jay Sisson and Pat Sisson. Burial was at Westfield Cemetery.

The daughter of James and Viola Hussey Burwell, she was born June 11, 1898, at Nora, Ill. Mrs. McGee had lived in Grinnell most of her life and had worked at local seed corn plants and the canning factory.

Survivors include her children, Mrs. Walter (Marguerite) Ahrens of Des Plaines, Ill., and William "Bud" Stevenson of Kellogg; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ada Nickless of Spooner, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph DeLeuil, William J. Stevenson, and John McGee; four brothers; and one great-grandchild.
