RITES CONDUCTED

Cheryl E. Frascht, 42, of 232 Main St., Grinnell, died of cancer Monday, Nov. 7, at Grinnell General Hospital.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dr. Anothony G. Farrell officiating. Organist was Kathy Lynch.

Pallbearers were Terry Barton, Bruce Blankenfeld, Kenneth Kramer, Michael Fitzgerald, Larry Van Ersvelde and Pat Fitzgerald. Honorary bearers were Jim Haines, William Lohse, Leo Flanagan, James White, William Olson and Jack Balkenende. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Memorials in Mrs. Frascht's name may be left at the Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 22, 1946, at Oelwein. The family moved to Osage where she attended school, graduating from Osage High School in 1965. She attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City in 1966.

She was married to Paul D. Frascht July 23, 1966, at Osage. The couple moved to Grinnell. Mrs. Frascht had been a teacher's aide at Grinnell Middle School and had been employed by the Terry Barton and Vos insurance agencies. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church's Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are her husband, Paul; three sons, Jason, Joel and Dale; one daughter, Deanna; two sisters, Karen Sutton of Hastings, Minn., and Ruth Thompson of Mason City; a brother, Paul Davis of Anna, Texas; a half-brother, Michael Davis of Waterloo; her father, Warren Davis of Garner; and her mother, June Davis of Osage. She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Michelle Davis.
