DOANLD TOLLES, 77

Donald LeRoy Tolles, 77, of Pleasant Park Nursing Home in Oskaloosa, Ia., died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Ia.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995 at Watts Funeral Home, Montezuma. Pastor Jim Sears, Barnes City Community Church, officiated. Music selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." Casket bearers were James Moore, John Moore, Brad Hartman, Marvin Moore, Robert Moore and Don Baker. Burial was in Lower Blue Point Cemetery, Poweshiek County, Ia.

Donald was born August 6, 1917 near Searsboro, Ia., the son of Dave and Mae (Croffman) Tolles. On July 6, 1946,he was united in marriage with Ruth M. Hartman at the Christian Church in Montezuma. They lived all of their married life in Poweshiek and Mahaska County. Don worked as a farmhand. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Don and Ruth lived in Barnes City before Don became a resident of Pleasant Park. Ruth died May 1, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Survivors include his son, Calvin of Oskaloosa; nieces and nephews; and friends.
