Obituary dated June 6, 1979

MRS. LOVA DEARDORFF

Funeral services were held at the Panora Church of the Brethren May 29 for Lova Brubaker Deardorff, who died May 25, 1979. Rev. W.B. Brant and Rev. Joe May were in charge. Burial was in the adjoining Brethren Cemetery.

Mrs. Deardorff was 88. She was the wife of Rev. Earl Deardorff who had served the Brooklyn Church of the Brethren from 1947 to 1959. Following retirement they served as managers of Camp Pine Lake for several years.

She was born at LaPlace, Ill., December 8, 1890.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters in addition to her husband. There are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those from Brooklyn attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rhinehart, Earl Connell, Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Henry, Lona Connell and Rev. and Mrs. Glenn D. Fruth.
