GRACE DURR

Grace Durr, 69, of Embassy Manor Care Center in Newton, a longtime resident of the Grinnell and Newton areas, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the manor.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home, with the Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm of the First Lutheran Church of Newton officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

The daughter of Clarence and Mamie Colhard Durr, she was born June 21, 1921, in Boise, Idaho. She had been an invalid since birth.

Surviving is a brother, Floyd Durr of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Evelyn Kingman and Verna Shepherd.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Embassy Manor Care Center Activities Fund and left at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
