MARK WILLER RITES FRIDAY

W. Mark Willer, 55, of 915 Prince St., Grinnell, died Tuesday evening at Grinnell General Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services for Mr. Willer will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marcus E. Reitz officiating. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.

The son of William and Emma Frahm Willer, he was born July 16, 1923, on a farm near Tama. The family came to the Grinnell area in 1936, and he attended Grinnell schools.

He moved to Grinnell in 1976 after having lived for several years on a farm near the city. He served for a brief period with the U.S. Army, and following his discharge he worked as a custodian at Grinnell High School. He was associated with the Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. for a few years, and for the past 16 years worked in the Building and Grounds department of Grinnell College.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church on March 2, 1947.

Survivors include a brother, Edgar V. Willer of Rte. 3, Knoxville, and a sister, Mrs. Marianna Louise Wells, the wife of Air Force Col. Gordon Wells, San Antonio, Tex. He was preceded in death by his father in 1955 and his mother in August, 1978.
