DIES THURSDAY
AT HOME HERE

William John Willer, longtime Grinnell farmer and president of the Eagles Lodge, died Thursday at his home west of Grinnell. He was 57 years old.

Willer died suddenly during the afternoon.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from St. John's Lutheran church with Rev. Donald Loots officiating. Burial was at Hazelwood cemetery.

Willer came to the Grinnell area 20 years ago from Tama County. A farmer he had been serving as president of the Eagles. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Born in Tama county, August 19, 1898, John William Carl Willer was the son of Detlef and Minnie Schmidt Willer. He was married June 21, 1922 at Marshalltown to Emma Sophia Frahm, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, William Mark and Edgar Vern of Grinnell; a daughter, Mrs. Patrick G. (Marianna Louise) Wells of Grinnell; and five grandchildren.

At the final rites, music was by Mrs. Elmer Hillman, organist, and Mrs. Maynard Long, soloist. Pallbearers were Oliver Bean, Elmer Broders, Harlan Cratty, Herbert Decatur, Harry Hartzell and William Muschick. Flower bearers were Mrs. Harlan Cratty and Mrs. Harry Hartzell.
