ELT MINCER IS DEAD.

*Elt Mincer passed away suddenly last night at midnight at his home on South Park street. His death was due to neuralgia of the heart, which has been troubling him for many years. He leaves a wife, a son 18 years old, and a daughter of 14 to mourn his death. His father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. N.B. Mincer, still live, and he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Eldoria Knick of Victor, Mrs. Blanche Filarshi of Sioux City, and Mrs. Alice Fry of Grinnell and also two brothers, Bert Mincer of Valley Junction and Leonard Mincer in California, who will all be present at his funeral except his brother in California.

He was born in Grinnell and lived here most of his life and at the time of his death was 45 years of age. He enlisted in 1898 for for the Spanish-American war under Captain A.C. Norris, and served three years. He was also a veteran of the Philippine Insurrection and was in many of the skirmishes there, being wounded several times. Mr. Mincer was a charter member of the A.C. Norris Post which was recently organized. He was the first to die from this organization.

Funeral services have not been completely arranged for, but it is thought they will be held from the Methodist church tomorrow at 4:00 o'clock. Pallbearers will be some of the veterans of the Spanish American war, who were his comrades.
