OBITUARY.

FINLEY LEWIS CONNELLY

Finley Lewis Connelly was born at Middletown, Ia., Sept. 24, 1858, and departed this life Tuesday morning, March 28, 1916, at the age of 57 years, 6 months, and 4 days, at Lewis, Ia.

He was married to Carrie B. Worthington of Grinnell, on May 21, 1885. To this union was born one son, Clyde F., who with the mother is left to mourn this loss of a kind and loving husband and father.

Mr. Connelly was well and favorably known in Grinnell, where he spent the active years of his life and leaves a large circle of friends who join with the family in lamenting his death. He was a man of upright and useful life, whose quiet, unobtrusive manner made and retained friends.

For the past four years he has gradually failed in health and the past two weeks he has grown weaker until the end came peacefully and without suffering, Tuesday morning at 4:30.

The funeral services were held at Lewis and the body brought to Grinnell, with funeral services at the grave in charge of the I.O.O.F. lodge.

Floral decorations at the grave were numerous, beautiful and fragrant, expressing the deep appreciation of numerous friends.

Those present at the funeral from out of town were Mrs. T. Worthington, Mrs. Alice Okell and Mr. Hugh Worthington of Lewis, Ia.
