MYRA FULLER GOODWIN

Myra Myrtle Fuller, daughter of Samuel and Margaret McSpadden Fuller, was born December 20, 1886, in Gibson, Ia. She spent her childhood and youth in Gibson, and when a young woman she professed Christ in her community Presbyterian church and lived a truly Christian life ever since.

She was united in marriage to Jerome R. Goodwin at Gibson, Ia., March 20, 1906. To this union were born five children: Eva, Lyle, Maxine, Verna, and Vernon.

Mr. and Mrs. Goodwin had spent 51 years of happy married life, all of which was spent in farming in Poweshiek county with the exception of one year in Tama county.

Mrs. Goodwin loved her home and family, taking special interest in her garden, and always ready to serve where she could. About two years ago, failing health came to her, and in February she came to the home of her daughter, Eva, at Grinnell, where she was cared for until she entered the hospital July 9. Her family ministered to her until she passed away July 19, 1957, past 70 years of age.

She is survived by her companion of the home; her five children, Mrs. Walter (Eva) Hall, Grinnell; Lyle, Malcom; Mrs. Vernon (Maxine) Turner, and Mrs. Roy (Verna) Baird, both of Montezuma, and Vernon of Marshalltown; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one aunt, Mrs. Ella Gott, Mt. Pleasant, Ia.; one uncle, Carey McSpadden, Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Ogden, Newton, Ia.; nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
