FUNERAL OF
JOHN E. FULLER
HELD WEDNESDAY

John Earl Fuller, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Fuller, was born in Gibson, Iowa, July 1, 1896, and departed this life April 28, 1935, following an operation at the Veterans' hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 38 years, 9 months, and 28 days.

His entire life was spent in Iowa, except from October 9, 1914 to June 4, 1920, which time he served in the United States Army, eighteen months of which were served at the front in the World War, taking part in three of the largest battles. The last five and one-half years he has resided in Grinnell, Iowa.

On March 20, 1919, he was united in marriage with Sylvia O. Durr of Williamsburg, Iowa, and to this union were born two children, Venita Frances, at home, and John Junior, who preceded his father in death in infancy. His father and brother, George, also preceded him in death.

He leaves his loving wife, daughter and mother, one brother and two sisters, Floyd, Mrs. Charles Ogden of Newton, and Mrs. Jerome Goodwin of Malcom; two half sisters, Mrs. Addie Shaw of Alva, Oklahoma, Mrs. Grace Valentine of Long Beach, Calif. and a half brother, Walter Fuller of Santa Monica, Calif., besides a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday, May 1, from the Methodist church. Burial was in the Sixteen cemetery near Thornburg, Iowa.
